A guide to sending us your digital files

Files should be complete and ready to print. A proof copy is required with all ad submissions.

ART DEADLINE:15TH OF THE MONTH PRIOR TO PUBLICATION i.e. Jan 15th for Feb.
Mac and PC files are accepted in the following formats:

Native File Format – requires all graphic files and fonts (both screen and printer) be included. ALL FILES MUST BE B&W OR CMYK PROCESS. MEDICAL NEWS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ADS THAT DO NOT PRINT CORRECTLY DUE TO INCORRECT COLOR PROFILES OR MISSING OR DAMAGED GRAPHICS AND FONTS.

    * Adobe PDF (preferred format) if submitting PDF, all fonts must be embedded and file must NOT INCLUDE RGB or LAB color elements.
      Color PDFs MUST be CMYK color composite.
    * Adobe Photoshop 4 or later. Please flatten all artwork before sending.
    * Microsoft Publisher files WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
    * Adobe InDesign 2.0 or later. However, at this time, InDesign CS2 files are not accepted.
    * Adobe Illustrator 8 or later.
    * TIFF or EPS File Format – include all screen and printer fonts contained in each EPS file.

Because software versions change frequently, please contact us if you have questions about software versions of the above applications.
Fonts: We reserve the right to substitute missing or incompatible fonts. TrueType fonts are discouraged.
