Several months ago, I was introduced to Brian Jones at Community Health Charities.  We sat down for coffee at Starbucks and discussed healthcare in Kentucky.  More specifically, we talked about the importance of charitable organizations and the roll they play in our healthcare system.  I was truly impressed with the mission of CHC and the charities they represented.

Although I was happy to learn more about their work in Kentucky, I walked away from that meeting wondering why I had never head of Community Health Charities.  Although I pride myself in being a part of the community, I realize just how large the healthcare community is in Kentucky.  I wanted to create a way to help ensure that there was a means for people (like me) who wanted to make sure they knew about all of the different organizations and events around the community.

We developed the Community Partners program to bring together all of the professional and charitable organizations throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana.  The goal of the program is to share the news, events, and information that is relevant to healthcare professionals in our region.  Medical News, and www.medicalnews.md, will serve as the hub for this news and information.  We will post articles, discussions, and events from any organization that would like to participate.
