The Kentucky Association of Health Care Facilities (KAHCF) is pleased to announce that Bruce Linder will be joining the Association as its Executive Vice President on August 10. Linder currently serves as a policy advisor with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) in Frankfort, Kentucky.
Linder has been with DCBS since 2004, overseeing 4,500 employees. After graduating from college, he served as a licensed nursing home administrator in Kentucky.
“I am excited to be given this opportunity to work directly with the long-term care profession,” Linder said. “My goal is to be a strong advocate for the KAHCF membership so that they can continue to provide quality care to Kentucky’s senior adult population.”
Linder has served as a nursing home administrator for Baptist Life Communities before joining the DCBS and has also been active with area Chambers of Commerce. As Executive Vice President, he will focus primarily on government relations in Frankfort and working with the American Health Care Association on federal issues impacting Kentucky’s long-term care profession.
“I am excited to have someone with Bruce’s experience and knowledge join the Association’s leadership team,” said Betsy Johnson, Association president. “His extensive background in government, particularly working in the Cabinet and DCBS will greatly benefit our members as we work on the variety of issues facing our profession.”
