Lourdes employees lend support to foundation

Nearly 350 Lourdes employees pledged to support Lourdes Foundation’s annual employee giving drive to benefit patients, co-workers, programs and patient care projects at Lourdes. The fund drive, dubbed the Harvest of Healing Campaign, raised $89,020 through donations of payroll deductions, cash gifts, and unused vacation time.

Funds raised during the Harvest of Healing Campaign are used to meet critical needs for hundreds of indigent patients who cannot afford medication, a cab ride home, or other needed medical equipment. This year alone, over 450 patients have received help with these basic needs. Many other programs like women’s services, heart and vascular care and Lourdes Hospice are also supported through this effort. Employees also earmarked more than $14,000 specifically for the Campaign for the Lourdes Hospice Care Center.

“Our employees recognize the value of Lourdes’ healthcare ministry to this community,” said Tara Miller, President of Lourdes Foundation. “We appreciate our associates who make Lourdes Foundation their charity of choice to support the important needs of our most vulnerable patients and to enhance the high quality care Lourdes provides for everyone in the region.”
