Life Care Center of Bardstown, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, is welcoming a new executive director, Kara Meredith.
Meredith most recently served Owenton Manor Care and Rehab in Owenton, Ky., as administrator. A licensed nursing home administrator in Kentucky and Indiana, she has 24 years of experience in long-term care.
“Kara’s knowledge of the industry, combined with her compassion for the residents, will ensure the building thrives while the residents receive quality care,” said Tiffany Cox, vice president of Life Care Centers of America’s Bluegrass Region.
Meredith shared that she was drawn to long-term care after watching her grandmother deal with dementia.
“I’ve always been close to older people, and I wanted to make a difference,” said Meredith. “I love what I do.”
Originally from Elizabethtown, Ky., Meredith earned her bachelor’s degree in health care administration from Western Kentucky University. She currently resides in Louisville.
Life Care Center of Bardstown, located at 120 Life Care Way, is one of six skilled nursing facilities in Kentucky operated or managed by Life Care Centers of America.
